Monika Boo
"I love to do animal and fantasy themes in a neotraditional style. My inspiration comes from nature, art nouveau style, fantasy books, movies and games. I enjoy tattooing pet portraits, because I admire the relationship between humans and animals."
Monika is an expert in neotraditional tattoos who tattoos at the Botanikum tattoo studio in Vilnius, Lithuania. Monika visits Hertsikan Leima several times a year.
"I like doing big projects, because technically they give me more opportunities to create elements and details in the design. I try to always try to optimize the image durability and details.
My style is neotraditional, although not so typical - sometimes it approaches realism (most often neorealism). I frequently visit different studios and I like to participate in tattoo conventions.
I'm always open to looking for inspiration and learning from other tattoo artists."

“Born in 1989. Having been in the tattoo industry for nine years, I grew up at the Respect Tattoo studio, which was opened by the old master Rosso in 1997. I have participated in several tattoo fairs in Italy and Malta.
I opened my tattoo studio in 2018 in Bologna. I have collaborated with numerous artists. I have gained a huge amount of professional and life experience from them, which I keep in my mind with joy. I am a familiar visitor to Sardinia, Helsinki and Ireland, and always ready for new trips. Closest to my heart is blackwork, wood carving and etching style and dark aesthetics.
I love manga. I grew up with the works of Berserk, Junji Ito, Dorohedoro and Go Nagai. I try to combine my eternal love of Gustave Doré, William Turner, esotericism, old fantasy books and gothic imagery into tattoos that exorcise darkness on the surface of the skin. I like drawing monsters, scales, rocks and demons, with dotted lines and deep black.”
Please communicate with Junky in English or Italian.
